Chemotherapy as a cancer treatment also causes baldness.

Thinning hair, receding hairline, a round hairless patch on the very top of the scalp, hair falling out while brushing or shampooing in the shower, rapid weight loss, rapid loosening of the hair follicles, stress and nail problems are the other signs and symptoms of baldness.
